From December 8 to 11, an online conference was held for public health service providers on the state budget.

For four days, participants talked about planning care and support services, changes in Ukrainian law, attracting budget funds, and providing HIV services in a COVID environment.

“If we want to achieve something, we have to take steps in that direction every day,” says Roman Drozd.

Each day of the conference was dedicated to a different topic.

On the first day, representatives of the Public Health Center presented their achievements for the year 2020 and talked about plans for the future.

The second day was devoted to work with local authorities. Representatives from CO “Light of Hope,” CO “Anything is Possible,” CO “100 Percent Life. Lviv”,  PO “Club Chance”, CO “100% of Life. Rovno” shared successful cases of work with local governments from their own practice.

“We have to be a driving mechanism and become a partner for the authorities, which sets the direction”, – says Dmitry Tygach, head of the CO “100 percent of life. Lviv.”

On the third day we discussed the work with the tender documentation and changes in the Law of Ukraine On Public Procurement.Olena Dmytrenko, expert of the Institute of Analysis and Advocacy, told how to prepare effectively for the 2021 procurement.

The final day consisted of several main topics: the cost of public health services, comments and recommendations for service providers.           


Vitaly Karanda, Director for Programs and Projects at CO “100 percent of Life” and Pavel Smirnov, Deputy Executive Director of ICF “Alliance for Public Health”, spoke about new opportunities in HIV with the Global Fund funds for 2021-2023, in particular about new programs, specifics of participation in the competition and improvement of legal literacy of key groups.
