Technical support visit took place in Dnipropetrovsk region

The event was held to ensure the sustainability of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis services as part of the transition plan 20-50-80.
It is no longer news for Ukrainian non-governmental organizations providing public health services that Ukraine has taken responsibility for combating the epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and is actively implementing a plan for the transition from donor to budget financing.
This process involves the procurement of services through the Prozorro electronic system. The first of them have already taken place, winning NGOs begin to work on the signed agreements. On August 15, 2019, a technical assistance visit took place in Krivoy Rog, where 10 organizations working in the field of harm reduction, care and support for people living with HIV in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The participants discussed issues of improving communication between the main service providers and subcontractors, maintaining the Cyrex database, issues related to monitoring and evaluation, financial issues related to the implementation of activities.
During the event, each participant had the opportunity to ask questions important to NGOs, and get an answer from representatives of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, experts of the Strategic Group and the СO “100 PERCENT OF LIFE”.
“Participation in such visits makes it easier for NGOs to switch from one financial model to another and helps provide high-quality and sustainable services to clients. Such visits are useful as participants have the opportunity to discuss their interactions with each other and PHC representatives ,” noted Roman Drozd, Strategic Working Group expert.
