BAS for representatives of women’s organizations of Ukraine was held online

From 28 to 30 October, experts of the Budget Advocacy School conducted a training on the basics of budget advocacy “Strengthening the capacity of representatives of women’s organizations in Ukraine to implement budget advocacy measures”.
The participants got acquainted with the concept of social accountability, the possibilities for NGOs to participate in the processes of shaping policies by state authorities and developing procedures for their implementation. Presented successful budget advocacy cases to raise funds from local budgets and ensure sustainability of service delivery for women.
We discussed issues of formation of target programs and their relationship with budget planning. Special attention was devoted to assessing the services provided by the state and tools for monitoring budget expenditures.
During the 3-day training, the participants received a set of knowledge to strengthen the ability of representatives of women’s organizations to implement budget advocacy measures.
The training was organized by the International Renaissance Foundation within the framework of the project “Women’s Voice and Leadership – Ukraine”
