At the meeting, which took place on March 4, we discussed how to prepare organizations for difficulties and risks when participating in procurement, and reviewed instruments for solving problems.
Olena Dmitrenko, speaker of the Institute of Analysis and Advocacy, presented Ukraine’s experience in the formation of the system of financing from the state budget. She told about advantages and disadvantages of the centralized system of purchases from the budget money. She also shared her ways of solving the difficulties.
“In Ukraine there has been a change in the mindset of NGOs, they began to consider themselves full players in the market,” said Yuriy Nestulya.
The other part of the webinar took place in the format of an open dialogue, where participants discussed the establishment of a system of financing medical and social services related to HIV and its specificities in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as ways to effectively interact with local authorities.
The webinars are conducted within the framework of the regional project “Sustainability of Services for Key Groups in the EECA Region” implemented by a consortium of organizations from EECA countries under the leadership of the Alliance for Public Health in partnership with “100% Life”, Central Asian Association of People Living with HIV and Eurasian Key Populations Health Network with financial support of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (aka #Sos_project).
