On December 23, the Annual meeting of partners #SOS_project took place online

The purpose of the meeting was to present the results of the work under the project for 2020 and discuss further work.
Sergei Filippovich spoke about the overall progress in ensuring the sustainability of services for key populations in the EECA region.
The partners shared their successes in their areas of work: expanding access to drugs, working with key populations, Fast track cities, improving human rights legislation.
Maxim Demchenko presented the results of work in the direction of budget advocacy. He spoke about the goals and objectives of the Institute for Analysis and Advocacy, about the successes achieved and plans for the future.
“Yes, 2020 was a challenging year, but it allowed us to see how investments in advocacy and sustainability worked, how the systems work, how the efforts to establish priorities for the authorities were able to produce the results,” says Maxim.
Countries have shown remarkable progress and implemented many initiatives, but there is still a lot of work ahead. In addition to work on the planned directions, new ones will be introduced, such as the response to COVID-19.
During the discussion, the project partners expressed their vision of the project’s development in the future.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the regional project “Sustainability of services for key groups in the EECA region”, which is being implemented by a consortium of organizations from the EECA region under the leadership of “Alliance for Public Health” in partnership with the “All-Ukrainian Network of PLHIV”, “Central Asian Association of People Living with HIV ”and the Eurasian Key Group Health Network with financial support from The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
